Hi there Mamas!
Reading is one of the most important things you can do with your kids. Reading can assist with language and communication skills, and can aid in healthy brain development. Reading to children helps to create a safe space where you can explore new and exciding worlds together. It’s a way to bond and connect and build confidence and relaxation. Take the time to read to them and to teach them to read.
Here is a list of the best children’s books for boys (That’s just because I have boys and these are our favorites!) I hope you can add some new books to your children’s library and have some fun reading together!

Here is the LIST of The Best Children’s Books!
1. Tickle Monster (With tickle gloves) By: Josie Bissett
Tickle Monster is one that my boys love because not all monsters are scary! The gloves make it fun and interactive too. If you child does not like to be tickled, have them pick out a stuffed animal to be tickled. Get ready to giggle!
2. How to Catch a… By: Adam Wallace & Andy Elkerton
There are several How to Catch a… books to choose from and its fun to collect them all. The kids in these books are crafty but can never quite catch what they are looking for, but they have fun trying. Great books for all the different Holidays.
Here are a few more that we have and love!
3. Little Blue Truck By: Alice Schertle
Little Blue Truck and his adventures make for a good read. They teach about friendship and working together! This is another book series where you can collect them all. We have several and we love them!
Little Blue Truck Makes a Friend.
Time For School Little Blue Truck.
Little Blue Truck’s Springtime.
What do you say Little Blue Truck?
4. Gotta Go Buffelo By: Haily & Kevin Meyers
Gotta Go Buffelo is a fun flip book with bright colors, cute animals and silly goodbyes!
5. Super Happy Magic Forest By: Matty Long
Get ready to explore some crazy worlds with some pretty funny heroes. The detail of the pictures are something else and you will get stuck looking at everything on every page! We love all of Matty Long’s books. They also have some longer chapter books, that my older son loves.
Super Happy Magic Forest and the Super Slug of Doom.
Super Happy Magic Forest and the Humongous Fungus.
Super Happy Magic Forest and the Deep Trouble.
6. Toot By: Leslie Patricelli
This book is hilarious and fun to read. Of course my boys love it and it is one of our go to books. Toots are funny (it can be a way to sprinkle in some lessons about manners as well.)
7. McElligot’s Pool By: Dr. Suess
McElligot’s Pool is a classic Dr. Suess book that I remember my parents reading to me as a child. It will forever be my all time favorite child’s books. You can’t go wrong with a book like McElligot’s Pool. Explore and imagine all the different kinds of fish out there.
Read to those kids- It’s important!
Reading is an important part of a kids childhood and it allows you to bond and have time with your kids. In our busy world, sometimes we get to slow down, unwind and connect with your children, weather it be through play, crafts or reading. Being a mama is messy, but you are a badass that can conquer anything. You got this, and I am here to help!
Love,
Trista
